Need to track activity or report on interesting new IP values? PetroDE’s Change Detection feature lets you cut to the chase and get critical updates on any competitor analysis of your choosing – in a flash.
Here are some frequent questions that our users are able to answer using PetroDE’s Change Detection feature:
- Where are the new permits?
- Where are the newly spudded wells?
- Where are the wells with new IP?
- Where have there been changes in the Peak rates?
- Which wells have new laterals greater than 6000 feet?
- Which counties have new drilling activity for once inactive operators?
- Where are the wells with new Treatment information?
- Which wells have reached TD since the last update?
Report weekly changes in well status
If you need to report on changes in an area of interest every week, our change detection feature will do it for you. For detailed steps, click here to view this workflow in our user guide.
In PetroDE, you can simply search your data layer for a specific entity or draw an area of interest using our Area of Interest tools. Next, you can quickly see changes in this area by selecting Change Detection and choosing the column you want to see changes for. The example below shows only wells that changed from permit to spud since the last update.
Or, maybe you want to keep track of where there are new producing wells. In the example below, we simply choose to refine the well status by prod instead of spud:
Another status change the our users frequently track is when a well reaches TD. In the example below, 39 wells reached Total Depth since the prior update.
Find areas with new IP or Treatment
Using PetroDE’s Change Detection, we can also show changes in IP Boevd21 since the last update or any time period you choose. In the following figure, we can see that the IP Boevd21 changed from NULL to 849 since the last update.
Below are wells where treatment (Trt Total Prpnt (lbs) was added since the last update:
Find Wells with New IP
Using PetroDE’s Change Detection, we can also show changes in IP Boevd21 since the last update or any time period you choose. In the following figure, we can see that the IP Boevd21 changed from NULL to 1811 since the last update.
