Spotting Trends Just Got Easier!
Chart Subsearches Highlighted on the Map: Click on any chart bar, line, or dot and instantly see the result highlighted on the map, together with the transparent wells from the original search. This allows users to instantly compare chart features and quickly see unforeseen trends in an area of interest.
Ways to Leverage:
- Instantly compare chart results and visualize them on the map view. In the example below, we can quickly see the location of the wells for a top operator in the Permian Basin, EOG Resources, with respect to all the wells in the original search. This subsearch took just 2 seconds to load.
- Quickly see trends in an area of interest. In the cross plot below from Weld county in Colorado, we can see that this well in the Fort Hays Formation has high IP Oil and relatively short lateral length of gross perforation. This subsearch took just 3 seconds to load.
Enhanced Well Stick Symbology
More Ways to View IHS Data Have Been Added: Well Sticks can now be viewed together with Formation symbols, Productivity symbols and Operator symbols, as well as Common Well Symbols. Under Map Display, simply click on the Symbol type, e.g., Formation, then go to Directionals and select Well Stick. There is also a toggle that enables users to display symbols at the Surface or at the Bottom Hole Location (BHL).
Ways to Leverage:
Make faster and more accurate comparisons with respect to well direction and spacing. In the example below, well pads and well sticks with Formation symbols at BHL were analyzed and visualized in satellite imagery in just 3 seconds.
