Tracking Changes Made Easy…
Users can now keep track of changes in any area of interest with the Change Detection option in the Analysis card.
Currently, Change Detection is available for the IHS Wells data layer. In the following weeks, it will become available for IHS Production Header, RigData Permits, RigData Rigs, and DI Desktop Well and Production Header. Change Detection can also be applied to your internal uploaded layers that are set up to automatically update. Please send an email to support@petrode.com to get started!
To see changes and/or additions in the last data update, simply click on Change Detection and select one of four options:
- Added in Last Update
- Changed in Last Update
- Added or Changed in Last Update
- Custom (where you can select custom columns and dates)
To see details of changes made for an individual well, click on the text balloon followed by the Changes button.

For Example
To see changes in Permit status for the Wolfcamp Formation, enter Wolfcamp in the search box and hit Enter. Scroll down to the Analysis card and select Change Detection. Select the option for Added or Changed in Last Update. The number of changed wells and date of last update will be shown below the selection. To see changes in permit status, scroll down to Refine and enter Well Status for the column. Check the permit box. Click on any well to see the text balloon and click on the Changes button to see what changed.
